How to add an IPTV playlist on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV

Fast IPTV Player plays the playlist your IPTV provider gives you. This guide shows how to add it in a couple of minutes, whether it's an M3U/M3U8 link, an Xtream Codes login or a Stalker portal, on iPhone, iPhone Duo, iPad and Apple TV.

Fast IPTV Player is a media player only. It doesn't include channels or sell subscriptions. You need your own playlist from a provider of your choice.

The quickest way: paste your link

  1. Download Fast IPTV Player from the App Store and open it. Your 7-day free trial starts right away.
  2. On the Add a playlist screen, paste the link from your provider into Have a link from your provider?.
  3. Fast IPTV Player works out the type for you: an M3U link that is really an Xtream Codes account is added as Xtream Codes, so you get the full TV guide and catch-up.

Add an Xtream Codes playlist

Use this if your provider sent a server address, a username and a password.

  1. Open Add a playlist and choose Xtream Codes.
  2. Enter the server address exactly as given, including http:// or https:// and the port, for example http://example-server.com:8080.
  3. Enter your username and password, then add the playlist. Live TV, Movies, Series and the TV guide load automatically.

Add an M3U or M3U8 playlist

  1. Open Add a playlist and choose M3U Playlist.
  2. Paste your M3U or M3U8 link. On iPhone and iPad you can also import an M3U file.
  3. If your provider gave you a separate TV guide (XMLTV/EPG) link, add it in the playlist's settings so the guide shows what's on.

Add a Stalker (MAG) portal

  1. Open Add a playlist and choose Stalker Portal.
  2. Enter the portal address from your provider, for example http://portal.example.com/c/.
  3. Fast IPTV Player shows the MAC address it uses. Give it to your provider if they need to activate it, then add the portal.

Apple TV: add a playlist without typing on the remote

Option 1: Copy it from your iPhone or iPad

  1. Add the playlist on your iPhone or iPad first.
  2. On the Apple TV, open Add Playlist and choose Another Device. Follow the steps to copy your playlists with a one-time code.

Option 2: Use the website

  1. On the Apple TV, choose Website Portal to see your Device ID.
  2. On any phone or computer, open fastplayer.co/add-playlist, enter the Device ID and add your playlist.
  3. It appears on the Apple TV automatically. Edit or remove it later at fastplayer.co/manage.

FAQ

Playlist questions

Where do I get an M3U link or Xtream Codes login?

From your IPTV provider. When you subscribe, providers send an M3U/M3U8 link, an Xtream Codes login (server, username and password) or a Stalker portal address. Fast IPTV Player is only the player; it doesn't sell subscriptions or channels.

Which is better: Xtream Codes or M3U?

If your provider offers both, use Xtream Codes. It loads Live TV, Movies, Series and the TV guide separately and usually supports catch-up. An M3U link works everywhere and is fine too.

My playlist won't load. What should I check?

Check the link or login for typos (including http:// and the port number), make sure your subscription is still active, and that the playlist isn't already playing on another device if your provider allows only one connection at a time. Then pull down to refresh, or contact support.

The TV guide is empty. How do I fix it?

Xtream Codes playlists bring their guide automatically. For an M3U playlist without one, add your provider's XMLTV guide link in the playlist's settings in the app.

Can I add more than one playlist?

Yes. Add as many playlists as you like and switch between them from the playlist button at the top of Home.
